From tasting notes 10/23/20
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, opaque and violet in color with a slight, pinkish hue. Lacing is fair, with broken lines and small spots decorating the glass.
Smell - Tart, sweet berry. Fresh raspberry really stands out in the aroma. Lesser pomegranate. Maybe a hint of the black currant?
Taste - Oh, yeah, follows the nose. Tart and sweet berry goodness. The pomegranate and raspberry really play off each other nicely here, while the black currant rounds out some of the jammier notes. 4.5
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body. Fair carbonation, but the fruit adds a lively bite that contributes to a slightly dry, yet refreshing finish.
Overall - Really tasty smoothie sour. It just hits the spot in the way you want it to. One of my favorite offerings of 2020. I had to buy a 4 pack for sure!
