Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, cloudy and reddish-violet in color with a mostly barren surface, a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass and leaving thin sheets and broken webbing for lace.
Smell - Raspberry is the prominent character on the nose, with underlying lemony tartness.
Taste - A natural, raspberry flavor initially, along with lesser lemony tartness. Lemon flavor builds, and really blasts off before the finish, leaving the aftertaste with a high, lemony sourness and lingering raspberry character.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with lively carbonation. Crisp, dry and refreshing finish.
Overall - Nice sour and a great summer brew. I could see myself sipping on this in the pool or in front of the BBQ.
