Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip, clear and golden yellow in color with a mostly barren surface and a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. Minimal lacing, with thin, broken lines and a handful of small spots.
Smell - Grassy aroma, with hints of grainy bready sitting beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bready, grainy malts upfront, then the hops creep in, adding grassy bitterness with a touch of bright citrus. Grassy bitterness holds firm through the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Smooth drinker before a lightly crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Solid German pilsner.
