From tasting notes 9/18/20
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, hazy and orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds, thickening up around the edge of the glass. A few small patches and spots make up the minimal lacing.
Smell - Lime and lemon are prominent in the aroma, and play off each other nicely. Vanilla is faint; mostly buried by that tart citrus.
Taste - Aroma doesn't lie. Bright, tart citrus that definitely hits on lemon and lime that battle it out a bit, then a touch of vanilla comes through mid-taste and lingers, though it doesn't quite connect in unison with the tart citrus notes. 4
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation, then a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Really solid offering, and I love the concept, though they just miss nailing it smack dab on the head. It's possible it may need more time for the flavors to meld and really become something special, but its nice as is.
