Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, crystal clear and brilliant orange amber in color with a thin, broken layer of suds and a thick ring around the edge of the glass. A few streaks and a handful of spots make up a minimal lacing.
Smell - Certainly dank on the nose, with lesser citrus, some green leaf and a fair toasted bread /biscuity malt undertone.
Taste - Follows the nose. Dank notes are prominent, with hints of green leaf, orange and grapefruit. Lightly toasted malts ride beneath, never really posing any kind of threat to the hop dominance. Finish lingers with a piney bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Nearing full-bodied, with fair, slightly tingly carbonation. Drinks well enough before a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Well made, but beers this dank just aren't my thing. To each their own, and cheers!
