Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip, clear and golden in color with a mostly barren surface; a small ring of suds encircling the edge. Great lacing, with thick webbing covering most of the glass.
Smell - Hints of citrus and white bread.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrusy hop notes, backed by a firm white bread sweetness. Not much else.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - Session IPAs almost never work. This one is no exception. Weak citrusy hops and a bland white bread backbone. For a session IPA, its fairly average. The style as a whole is whack.
