This milkshake ale was treated with pumpkin pie filling, pumpkin pie sauce and spices, vanilla beans, marshmallows, and lactose for the perfect cream-to-spice balance for the season.

Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served into a 13oz tulip, slight haze a pale gold in color. Mostly barren surface, with a thin ring around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - The smell is pretty spot-on. Firm pumpkin and spice aroma, with a hint of whipped cream.
Taste - Differs from the nose. The flavor finds more cream, vanilla and subtle sugary sweetness, while the pumpkin and spice ride beneath. The spice emerges more in the finish, but the pumpkin never really shines.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with low, but tingly carbonation. Creamy texture. Drinks easy enough, with a mostly refreshing finish.
Overall - Solid pumpkin ale (milkshake IPA?) , but doesn't quite hit on those pumpkin and spice notes. Can't believe I'm saying this needs more pumpkin and spice like some soccer mom ... But I am!
