From tasting notes 11/30/20
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up 16oz into a short-stemmed, large tulip. Hazy and orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface, thickening into a solid ring around the edge of the glass. Fantastic amount of lacing, with thick bands, chunks, lines and spots decorating much of the glass.
Smell - Strong grapefruit aroma. Guava, passionfruit and just a trace of buttery character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Prominent white grapefruit flavor from start to finish. Tropical notes of guava and passionfruit follow almost immediately after that initial grapefruit note. Hint of white bread sweetness riding beneath. Hint of spice. Melon comes through solidly near the end. Finish adds a touch of pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Really tasty, unique hazy brew. It's not often you find one as unique as this. Very nice. Why did I not buy a 4-pack when I had the chance??
