Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip, black with garnett highlights where light can penetrate. A few small spots make the lacing.
Smell - Light, roasty aroma. Cold coffee. Hint of chocolate.
Taste - More nutty on the taste. Hints of roast and a trace of chocolate. Hops hit on the faintest trace of grass.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a touch of dryness in the finish.
Overall - Really solid, classic example of a Black lager (schwarzbier). Would drink again.
