Appearance- Pours with a hint of haze and bright orange in color, with an off-white, finger width head. Sub-par retention, revealing a thin, broken layer of suds with a thin ring encircling the edge of the glass. Decent lacing, with thin, broken webbing, lines and small spots.
Smell - Citrusy, tropical aroma. Orange and pineapple, mostly, with hints of berry, pine and sweet caramel malt.
Taste - Notes of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, spice and lesser pine, backed by a malt body that hints at caramel and biscuit. Citrus oils. Finishes with grapefruit pith and some earthen dank.
Mouthfeel - Near full in body with fair carbonation. Fair drinker before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - It's a solid West Coast DIPA. Not my favorite one they've made, but I would drink it again for sure.
