Appearance - Pours hazy and dull, muddied orange with an off-white, half finger width head that fizzes away somewhat quickly, revealing a mostly barren surface with a razor thin, broken ring around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - The nose brings an interesting blend of the tart cobbler characteristics, the peach, cinnamon and vanilla, along with the barrel aging influence of oak and bourbon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart peach hits the tongue first, followed shortly by big oak and lesser cinnamon. Mid-taste brings that distinctive bourbon character that's warm and sweet, while vanilla finds itself fully revealed in the finish, lingering in the aftertaste with fading peach tartness, oak and the bourbon.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker before a warming, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Can't believe BB sat on this guy for two years and kept it their little secret! It was an idea well worth delivering on. Keeps the peach cobbler elements while adding welcome notes of oak and classic bourbon sweetness, without getting too boozy.
