Appearance - Pours murky and orange in color with an off-white, chunky finger width head. Fair retention before dying to a thin, consistent layer of suds, though a few chunk bubbles persist. Lacing isn't so much lacing as it is a strange, bubbly film, likely from the cream of coconut used.
Smell - Pineapple is prominent, with lesser tangerine, hints of coconut and cream, and a fair bit of cinnamon spice hanging on the back end.
Taste - Follows the nose. Starts strong with pineapple and lesser tangerine brightness, and they dominate the experience. Cream and coconut peak through mid-taste, with a trace of cinnamon as it approaches the finish. Aftertaste unsurprisingly holds firm on the pineapple and tangerine notes.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller-side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture before a slightly crisp, bitey finish.
Overall - A modified, and in my opinion, improved version over last year's Hula Swirl: Painkiller. More pineapple, less cinnamon, subbed in cream of coconut in lieu of the fresh coconut, and they ditched the nutmeg. The result is a poppier, but creamier iteration.
