Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, clear and glowing orange with a pinkish hue. Thin ring of suds hug the edge while a handful if small spits make up a minimal lacing.
Smell - Watermelon and lime upfront, lesser berry, while a soft, sugary honey sweetness rides below.
Taste - Follows the nose. Watermelon is the dominant character here, followed by lesser lime tartness and kisses of strawberry and honey. Finish is a bit more tart than sweet, but finds appropriate balance for what's here.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before dry, slightly sticky finish.
Overall - Tasty and, living to it's namesake, pretty crushable. Would be much better as a spring or summer release rather than in January.
