Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 16oz, clear solo style plastic cup. Murky and salmon pink in color. Mostly barren surface with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Picking up the banana and pineapple foremost , while lesser berry tang is found close behind.
Taste - Hmmm. I'm finding the mellow funk of the banana clashing with the tangier notes of the pineapple and berries. It's a somewhat tasty flavor, just not very cohesive.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with fair carbonation. Creamy but also slightly chalky from the fruit sediment. Drinks smooth enough before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - Love the Double Jammer series, but one's easily my least favorite thus far. This banana is just not working particularly well with the sharper, tangier fruits. One of the few DJ releases I'm glad I didn't opt for a 4-pack.
