Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large, short-stem tulip/snifter, clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface. Great lacing, with intricately patterned sheets, breaking off to lines and a handful of spots where the pattern breaks down.
Smell - A fair mix of citrus and piney character on the nose. Orange, pineapple, a hint of grapefruit, green pine and a bit of earth.
Taste - More citrusy than dank, IMO. Orange with hints of tangerine and pineapple. Lesser pine dank and a touch of earth creep in mid-taste, hanging though the finish. Mild bready malt undertone. Aftertaste finds lingering fruity zing clinging to the tongue while that minimal dank trails off.
Mouthfeel - Solid medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick drinker with a pretty darn smooth finish.
Overall - They described this one as a total dank bomb, but I find it much more citrus forward, which I enjoy. Easy on the delivery as well. I hope they bring this one back.
