Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large, tulip / snifter hybrid, opaque and orange in color. Thin, broken layer of suds across the surface with a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Lacing is fair, with thin, layered bands, some broken lines and a bit of spotting.
Smell - An interesting nose: citrus, slightly earthen mineral, tropical, some leafy green.
Taste - Follows the nose. An interesting, balanced blend of citrus, mineral notes, some light dank pine, mango and pineapple. It really comes together early and rides to a balanced finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a fairly dry finish.
Overall - Not big on the mineral components this beer puts off, but it's so damn balanced and easy drinking that I can't help to give it some love.
