From tasting notes 3/19/21
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip/snifter hybrid, hazy bad mellow orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface. Nice lacing, with an intricate band of webbed sheeting around the top, breaking into vertical streaks and small spotting surrounding the band.
Smell - Fresh squeezed OJ, pineapple and just a Trace of mango.
Taste - Follows the nose.Juicy orange and pineapple with a touch of mango. Balanced finish. A bit of pith in the aftertaste, but mostly lingers with fading notes of the fruity notes.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Drinks smooth and slick before an easy, semi-dry finish.
Overall - 3 weeks ago I would've rated this around 3.9/5, despite how good it was, due to the fair amount of yeast burn found on the finish. Now, it drinks wonderfully smooth while bringing some delicious juicy fruitiness. Sometimes new releases need a few weeks to really hit their stride.
