Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter / tulip hybrid, cloudy and the color of orange juice. Mostly barren surface, with a thin ring of suds encircling the edge of the glass. Good lacing, with a thick band, devolving into some broken webbing, lines and spotting.
Smell - Mildly dank, while also providing a solid, lemony brightness that blankets the underlying surface. Hint of orange. Mild bread.
Taste - Bright, citrusy profile with tangerine and a bit of lemon peel, with lesser pineapple, dank and a trace of berry. Mild, bready malt undertone. Dank becomes a bit more prominent in the finish. Aftertaste lingers with pine, dank, mild lemon and a touch of tangerine.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, slick drinker before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Solid hazy IPA with some interesting lemon qualities, though the dank notes tend to get too prominent for my preference, especially as it warms.
