Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Belgian tulip, slightly hazy and orange copper in color, with a thin, broken layer of surface suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass.Fantastic lacing, With solid bands stretching across a good portion of the glass, breaking down into lines, webbing and small spotting.
Smell - Certainly a West Coaster, with aromas of citrus and pine, slight booze and a toasty malt undertone.
Taste - Citrusy upfront, with orange, grapefruit and lesser pineapple, followed by green pine and earthen dank notes. Mild caramel and biscuit make up the malt undertone. Balanced finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation.
Overall - Maybe the best of the Dankness series, based on my preference. Nice balance. Dank, but not overwhelming. Plenty of citrus. I could stand to drink some more of these.
