Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a Belgian tulip, opaque and solid orange in color with a mostly barren surface, save a thick ring of suds encircling the edge. Solid lacing, with broken sheeting, lines and a few small spots.
Smell - Citrus forward aroma, with hints of tropical character and a subtle sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Some nice, tropical hop goodness happening here. Juicy orange, candied orange and lesser pineapple upfront. Light green leaf. Some generic bready sweetness and a kiss of honey. Finish is pithy and slightly yeasty.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Drinks smooth before a dry finish, slightly chalky finish.
Overall - I'm digging the flavor profile on this one more than the Caribbean Crush I just tried, though this one could use a few weeks to smooth out and really hit it's stride. Could be absolutely amazing in 3-6 weeks.
