Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a stemless tulip, opaque and orange in color, with a half finger worth's of head sitting atop. Fair retention before dying to a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring of suds on the outer edge. A few tiny spots for lacing, along with fine fruit sediment, can be found on the sides of the exposed sides of the glass.
Smell - Classic sweet, rich and sultry cheesecake aroma, with lesser mango and a trace of lime.
Taste - Mango strikes first and dominates the front end, then cheesecake springs to life and quickly takes over by mid-taste. Underlying key lime adds brightness. Finish is rich cheesecake and continuing bright lime undertone, and it lingers with a long aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Full in body with moderate carbonation. Strongly creamy in texture, but smooth. Drinks easy enough.
Overall - Not as nearly as delicious as their cherry berry cheesecake Double Jammer that dropped in the winter, but still pretty tasty. It would help if I liked mango more than I do. Also, can get a bit cloying with all that rich cheesecake flavor, so the cheesecake experience is quite spot on, lol.
