another cool fruited sour from these guys, lots happening in this one, a little lighter than the cherry limeade crusher overall, although the clean peppy sourness resonates about the same. less sediment in the can, pretty stained glass pink color, fizzy but little head amassing. i think its cool this doesnt have lactose, enough with the smoothie and milkshake sours already! the vanilla in this is bold, it almost does that anyway, and this is quite sweet overall, but it has incredible fruit layers as well from passion fruit, strawberry, lychee, and lemon additions. the passion fruit and lemon together hit first in aroma and flavor, make my mouth water, give me that pucker in my jawline, and sort of define the whole thing, the passion fruit especially is there the whole way, enhancing the other fruits and making the acidity pop, love that aspect. the strawberry and lychee go together, floral and sweet to, made even more dynamic and desserty by the natural but robust vanilla, perhaps just a bit too much of it. some in our group say this is a bit like cough syrup or mouth wash, and there is a sort of medicinal element to it, but its easy to sort of drink through that and just take it at face value. for me, this is better than so many of its peers because of its refinement, its omission of milk sugar, and its very tidy sourness, professional beer, its just super contemporary and perhaps on the edge of too flavored, but the fruits and the vanilla and the acid all go very well together, the carbonation makes it drink like a soda, and even though it has a slightly weird linger, i thought this was quite good overall. thanks to my colleague and friend for the share, these cans were fun!
