From tasting notes 12/30/22
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Pours hazy and golden orange in color, broken layer of suds on the surface with a thin ring clinging the outer edge. Lacing leaves a thick, broken band, accented by a few line trails and minimal spotting.
Smell - Mango, dry earthy leaf, peppery spice and a hint of bready sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Southern cross delivering dry, lightly earthen leaf and a mild peppery spice while yhe mosaic adds a healthy dose of mango with a touch of dank. Bready malt undertone. Finish continues with strong mango as the other notes subside.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Drinks smooth. Semi-dry finish. 4
Overall - I really, really liked this beer a few sips in but the mango expression from the mosaic started to get too much after a while.
