Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, opaque and dark Pepto pink, with a few islands of suds on the surface. No lacing really, just a film of fruit sediment that dirties the sides of the glass.
Smell - Tart aroma with underlying cream sweetness. The raspberry and cranberry almost meld into a cherry-like aroma, while that cream helps to balance out the aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart, then creamy. Raspberry stands out here, with hints of the pineapple and cranberry, though you certainly get that distinct cranberry dryness in the finish. Creamy vanilla undertone develops quickly and hangs through the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Creamy texture before distinct dryness that cranberry provides.
Overall - Really solid smoothie sour. The flavors work well together. I'm not the biggest cranberry fan but it Serves it's purpose in this concoction.
