Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, opaque and rich orange in color. Barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Tart citrus aroma with a creamy vanilla sweetness sitting firmly beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Bright, tangy and juicy tangerine upfront and throughout. Cream and vanilla sweetness pop through mid-taste and rides with the tang through the finish. Juicy, tart and lightly pithy citrus in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, nigh velvety texture before giving way to a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Think orange creamsicle but with tangerine instead of the orange and you've got what this tastes like. Not terrible complicated but it nails the concept it's going for, so props.
