Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, opaque and a deep, dark berry red in color. A few small patches of suds on the surface with a thin, broken ring on the outer edge. Some fruit sediment coats the glass.
Smell - Passionfruit dominates the aroma, with lesser blackberry and a faint whiff of watermelon.
Taste - Whoa. How to describe this... It's like the passionfruit, watermelon and blackberry all accentuate the strength of flavor in each other to deliver this explosive flavor that just rides forever. Wow, is all I can say. 4.5
Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker with faint pulpiness and a lightly dry finish.
Overall - One of the more unique and unexpectedly great brews I've had in a while.
