Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, opaque and a creamy yellow color with a lightly orange hue. A thin, broken network of suds cover the surface while the lacing is minimal with a few scattered clusters, while a thin film of milky looking sediment coats the rest of the glass.
Smell - Big banana with fair orange on the nose. Creamed coconut sits beneath. Underlying lime skin.
Taste - Follows the nose. Banana runs the show, then creamy coconut comes into play. Hints of orange add a bit of acidity to the mellowness. Finish adds a kiss of lime tartness that carries faintly in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture before the slightest hint of chalky dryness in the finish.
Overall - Solid addition to their tiki lineage, but not my favorite. A bit too much banana for me to truly love it.
