Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up into a snifter, opaque and berry violet with a pinkish ring of suds clinging to the side. Lacing is fair, with webbing that finds itself integrated with small bits of fine fruit sediment.
Smell - Tart berry, mostly strawberry with a touch of blueberry, with a cream and chocolate undertone.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tartness bites at the tongue with berry tones, followed by lesser tootsie roll like chocolate flavor. Hints of cream in the finish while the fruit and chocolate notes ride it out.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with low carbonation. Creamy texture. Drinks easy.
Overall - It's Interesting. Its like neapolitan ice cream if you subbed the strawberry out for strawberry sherbet. I wasn't sure if this was gonna work, but it does.
