Appearance - Pours a deep and dark cola brown with three fingers of foamy tan head.
Smell - Traditional pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, clove), toasty malts, oats, vanilla extract, earthy hops.
Taste - Toasty and roasty malts, followed straight away by the pumpkin pie spices. Sweetness of lactose and vanilla, along with light-to-moderate earthy hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Syrupy stickiness lingers on the palate.
Overall - A flavourful pumpkin porter that does not shy away with the pumpkin pie spices. The lactose provides a nice level of sweetness that gives this beer a bit of a dessert feel.
