Cute little building in downtown Ticonderoga. Nice Space. Mellow, Relaxed.
Somewhat limited beer selection.
Hard to understand what beers were available .
The dark lager was good.

Cool little block building by the railroad tracks just off the main drag. Small U-shaped bar seats about 6 or 8, with a few tables about the room and a large tented beer garden out front. Only 4 beers on tap, I had the Empathy which was solid. Place is very much a locals hangout. Friendly bartender.

okay, so i know these guys are new, and in an area of the state that is relatively starved for breweries and cool beers, so i want to focus on the positives here. the place is amazing first and foremost, a cool old rustic building, brick and very open inside for how small it is, rural and comfortable and minimalist and i love the aesthetic, so mellow, its relaxing just to walk in, and they have this gorgeous little beer garden outside with picnic tables, a stone wall bordering part of it, plants all over in full bloom, and a wonderful vibe overall, the space is one i want to hang out in all day and drink beer, perfect in a small town like this, its awesome. the service was also solid, decent product knowledge and quite engaging, along with all the promptness and sample offering i like from a brewery bartender. they didnt have many beers on, maybe five when we were in, and unfortunately, they were on the edge of undrinkable pretty much across the board, soapy chemical complexions, phenolics where they do no belong, and a seeming obliviousness to how bad this beer is. a shame too, because the recipes seem solid, a strong sour with local botanicals, a basic earthy porter, a light lager, and a hoppy selection with a neat hop profile, but they all taste like cleaning agents and bandaids and like they were fermented way too warm in plastic, although i did no see their set up. the folks around were all so nice too, it was hard to leave full beers on the table, but thats what we did. i give some credit for ambition, some for keeping it simple, and some of it is for benefit of the doubt that they will figure it out, but no matter how cool the space is, if they dont get some better beer happening soon it isnt going to work out. it kind of boggles my mind, like, if you love beer enough to open a brewery, you know what good craft beer tastes like, and then you have to know yours doesnt taste like that, and that something must be wrong. how has it not been corrected yet i wonder? ill try again next summer, wishing them all the best...
