On tap at the brewery today. I ordered a sampler tray, and this was the best thing on the tray.
The beer pours a fairly dark golden amber color with fairly good head retention and lacing. On the nose I'm getting honey, vanilla, a sort of cola aroma and a hint of banana. Kind of odd, but not too off putting. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this moderately sweet beer, but there's also some expected bitterness on the finish. It's not terrible... just kind of odd and unexpected. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, but with some noticeable alcohol in the finish. It's not overwhelming, but does impair the beer's drinkability somewhat. I would have difficulty drinking a full glass of this beer.
This isn't terrible, but it's nothing to write home about either. This isn't something I would order again.
