Celebrating the men left behind to defend the UK in case of invasion by Germany in World War II the Home Guard or "Dad's Army" as it was also known, was a volunteer force formed from all those who could not go to war due to age, infirmity or career.
This beer was deliberately crafted to be light in alcohol, but still retain great flavor and mouth feel so that you could have a good night at the pub and still get up ready for battle the next day.

Pint at Miners Alley. Glowing copper color (evening light?). Sweet, malty aroma and taste. Toffee, brown bread, light gingery elements. A bit on the sweet side, but pretty good.
