Copenhagen 21/3 2020. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Webshop. Can made out to look like an old advertisement for a circus show with a skull with a turban. Supposedly made to emulate some Raspberry & Licorice Skull Candy.
Pours opaque, burgundy red with a big pink head. Settles fairly quickly to a thin, flimsy transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, marmelade sweetness meeting tart unripe berries. Raspberry marmelade, sour gooseberries, lemon,. Faint notes of licorice.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, lightly tingling texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense with a medium sweetness followed by a more moderate tart sourness. Aftertaste is sourish with a prominent sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Quite well-balanced for a beer called a Candy Weisse on the can. I have not tasted the infamous Skull Candy - but I will consider it after drinking this.

Pours a glowing red with thick, pink foam.
Smell is tart and juicy with notes of raspberries, lime, raspberry jam and a hint of licorice.
Taste is tart, almost to the point of sour, with a hint of sweetness and plenty of creaminess. Notes of raspberries, lime, licorice and a hint of grass. Very balanced and extremely refreshing.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, another great fruited Berliner by Morgondagens. They excel at the style they call Candy Weisse.
