Copenhagen 30/12 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of christmas elfs carrying lanterne spelling “God Jul”.
Pours deep burgundy with a small pink head. Very bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds. Leaving what looks like Russian borsch. No lacing.
Aroma is not unlike glögg. Very sweet and spicy. Cinnamon, cloves, anise, cardamom. Brown sugar. Light odor of orange and citrus.
Medium carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness partly balanced by a medium strong, citric sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish and spicy. Lingers for a bit.
On one side it does not make much sense to brew a beer that tastes of glögg. On the other hand I must admit that they succeded in doing it. A strange and fascinating experience.

Pours a dark reddish purple with low, pink foam.
Smell is tart with notes of spicy mulled wine, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, and juicy cherries, blueberries and currants.
Taste is sweet and tart and creamy with notes of the spices from the nose and blueberries, cherries, cherry jam and some youghurt.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated,
Overall, this is a combo that shouldn't work, but it does.
