Pale golden in color, medium white head. The sweet aroma of malt and grain. The taste is same . Watery and over-carbonated. Empty finish. Average ...

The beer pours a pale gold color with a towering white head that slowly fades to lacing. There appears to be some floaties present. The aroma is awful. It has a light pale malt scent that is dry and a bit peppery. It seems old and stale smelling. The taste is awful as well. It has a dry and flavorless taste that goes down slow and finishes with a peppery kick. I hope there are better brews available for these guys, because this is pitiful. The mouthfeel is below average. It is a low bodied beer with way too much carbonation. This beer is a waste of time. It's one and done for me.

Taller than what? Hugely carbonated bright gold with a yellowed, off-white cap the color of month old newspaper. The head filled almost the entire glass after the pour, but has fallen quickly thanks its unsticky, airy nature. While the beer itself looks nice, the head is lousy. Not a trace of lace.
The nose isn't bad at all. In fact, I'm enjoying it. It's sweeter and much more floral hoppy than the usual suspects in the AML category. If it tastes like it smells, this will be okay beer.
The flavor profile bears more than a passing resemblance to the aroma, but doesn't translate as well as I thought it might. There's a respectable amount of malt, so I'm unsure whether the bordering on cloying sweetness is malt-related or corn-related. It tastes pretty strongly of corn syrup, so I'm betting on the latter.
Although the floral, almost perfumy, quality worked in the nose, it doesn't work at all on the palate. It nows tastes artificial, not hop-related in the least. There's also a spiciness that puts me in mind of a bastardized strain of Belgian yeast. It finishes sweet, sticky and slightly metallic; becoming increasingly metallic as it warms. The mouthfeel is a few notches more full than medium, thanks to all the sugar, and the carbonation is lively, but nowhere near as rambunctious as I'd feared.
Proposed slogan for the folks at Yantar: "Forget cold-tasting, our beer tastes taller than the rest!". This is one strange brew. It's all over the map in terms of the style; most closely resembling an overly sweet, full-bodied, Belgianesquely spicy malt liquor. Taller Beer isn't the height of nastiness, but it doesn't stand head and shoulders above its peers either.

Pours a four-fingered white head that goes quickly and leaves no lace. Clear, light amber color. Medium-strong carbonation. Nose is faintly skunky. Starts smooth, malt and hops are evenly mixed, finishes clean some sweetness. Light-medium bodied. This wasn't bad maybe because I needed something after shovelling snow. The ABV is 5.0% according to the label. $2.04 for a 500ml bottle from Oliver's Beverage, Albany, NY.

Bought this $.99 single @ Roger Wilco in NJ. Seems like they have a ton of strange Ukraine, Polish and Russian beers at clearance. Some scary ass names! I figured I'de try one of these:
This beer had no "born on date" (yeah right! - lucky if this one was brewed in this century) and poured a very bright and clear golden yellow color and had a huge white head. I noticed some sediment on the bottom of the bottle and was careful not to stir it up. There were some off flavors in the aroma almost like old Saaz hops. There was a definite metallic taste to this beer. Almost rusty, maybe like a bottle cap? Besides that, I detected some sweet fruit (figs) along with a graininess. Taste is a bit muddled, should be more cleaner for this type of lager beer.
Looks great, but Ill pass on a second one of these.
