served with a lemon cookie, this blonde type ale is close to being really light and refreshing and good, but it still tastes a little first batchy to me, i bet they dial this one in the next time its on the schedule. right now its pale and not quite clear, lemony colored coincidentally, and has a lot of sweetness to it with all the fragrant lemon, which makes it seem almost more like a lemon soda than a beer, a real candied thing that takes what i think is natural lemon and makes it seem a bit artificial, which is a real shame. the same thing is true in the taste, not much malt flavor here to make it beery, and without that, the lemon sort of takes over, a little tart, a little zesty, a lot sweet. good carbonation is helpful and needed for drinkability, but it also lends to the soda thing. there is also a slight chemical thing, something not quite right with the fermentation, like cleaner with the lemon, fortunately i didnt pick any of that up in any of their other beers, so hopefully a one time deal. i suspect this will be lights out next time i go in, it has all the makings of a winner. my lady appreciated the cookie with it too!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
