I have nothing to compare it too but this was simply immaculate and delicious to me. Insanely tasty and the feel was excellent. I had to stop drinking it so fast to savor it more but its so tasty. Sweet and deep like good cherry candy. Not only was this my favorite from today's visit but it might be my favorite offering from them in general

an enormous beer, but a tasty one, and a style you dont see much of, cool and ambitious of these guys to have it on already, being only open for a month or so now! its a little darker than most of the other braggot types i have had, a mahogany color with a lazy tan head on it from the tap. they must have used a wine yeast or something in this to get it so strong, although i dont hardly taste any yeast at all. instead, honey and malt in equal proportions drive this one, a floral and sticky waxy raw vibe to the honey, a baked and very long boiled almost concentrated malt complexion, fairly dark, not roasty or smokey or anything, but brown sugar and molasses and maple notes for sure. the honey doesnt make it too sweet, which is crazy to me, like that so much of it is fermented out obviously, and i still really taste it, but its so strong too, its crazy. heavy feeling, nutty, lightly english, toffee and caramel and old ale characteristics and all of that, fusel obviously too, but balanced oddly enough, and actually really good, right up there with their oak aged barleywine as the best beers on offer in here. tons of layers here, a great use of honey, and overall a very interesting and curiously drinkable strong ale. oddly mellow for how huge it is. id love to know more about the yeast. i will be keeping an eye on these guys...
