This traditional amber lager is an elegant, easy drinking beer with a clean, restrained bitterness and notes of toasted bread and honey.

Pours a clear, medium brown color, appears a very dark amber in the glass; dense, semi-creamy and spongy head, faint khaki twinge to the color. Light toffee and toasted malt nose; malt sweetness. Medium malt sweetness on the palate; light caramel malt taste with red ale touches; very light nuttiness; barely perceptible hop bitterness. Nice body and mouthfeel; medium body; smooth with a decent residual sugar velvet-like feel; very lightly dry on the palate.
A nice enough märzen beer, malty with little hop presence. Pretty good overall if rather mundane.
