Clear, brownish-red pour, semi-translucent; no visible carbonation; 1 1/2 finger thick head, long-lasting, dense yet sudsy. Notes of berry; delicate toasted malt on the nose; sweet; stone fruits and faint strawberry. Sweet, berry-like flavor; subtle bourbon edge; very mild bitterness. Flat and nearly watery mouthfeel; somewhat dry; some silkiness and slickness.

This relatively flat and watery quadruple barely comes across per the style. Burns Family, based on my limited experience, generally create deep and resonate big beer styles. This offering barely exudes a Belgian quadruple and certainly all but fails to represent its Wild Turkey barrel aging. Not a total fail from my perspective, but hardly memorable.
