Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light straw yellow with a fizzy, one finger white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, lemon and lime and a little graininess. Flavor is mild grainy malt, citrus hops, lemon, lime, grapefruit and faint mixed fruit; a nice burst of lime ester in the finish. Light to medium bodied with light to medium creaminess. A soft, mildly malty lager with a surprisingly grainy profile and very bright lemon/lime flavored hops, mild at first but with malt fading in the finish to reveal the lime character. Not getting any rice flavor, but the malt is soft and mellow. More flavorful than I expected the modest ABV and the light malt supports the citrusy hops well. Probably hopped a bit more than a traditional rice lager, but delightful to try. I've been waiting for a style of beer from this brewery, which leans to tarter styles and this was a nice choice. The hops taste fresh too. Enjoyable.
