Pours a med frothy foamy 1 finger head with great retention, fair whispy lacing, crystal clear light pale color
Nose is quite nice, grainy-sweet malt, little cereal and straw, a little doughy malt, but soft and fair complex, not sure if there is decoction there but a nice malt layer, touch of herbal hop
Taste more complex grainy-sweet malt, cereal and a little straw and dough, not as heavy as a pilsner, soft lager and soft malt, again somewhere between the layered complex malt depth of decoction and not, so maybe a single decoction?, light herbal floral hop, touch of bitterness, dry finish
Mouth is med to a tad lighter bod, very soft lager, med to a bit higher frothy carb
Overall very nice actually, surprising for an American brewery really getting a Helles right, so great job Stellwagen!
