We started thinking a little off kilter about our flagship NE IPA, Invisible Airwaves. Wouldn’t it be cool if we brewed it like a West Coast IPA? So, we simplified the grist, used a cleaner snappier west coast yeast and adjusted the water profile while keeping our hop usage very similar. The result is a fantastic west coast leaning IPA. Pouring light copper in color with a slight haze and dense foam, each sip is full bodied yet crisp with a refreshingly bitter finish. We get malt driven aromas and flavors of biscuit and caramel which pair nicely with the hop bill of Citra and Mosaic which contribute complex layers of tropical and citrus fruit with dank resiny undertones.
