Pours a cloudy, deep, dark amber coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smell is quite sweet and malty, with caramel, bready malts and notes of toffee and red/dark fruits: currants, fig, raisin. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by sweet, caramel, bready malts and notes of red/dark fruits: currants, fig, raisins, with redcurrant standing out the most. There's also a certain hoppy, earthy/herbal note and very mild yeast esters to this. Finishes with a light bitterness and some currants lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This has a lovely balance of sweet, fruity malts and earthy, herbal hops going on, with some light yeast esters giving it a bit additional complexity and a light spiciness. I'm finding it difficult to rate this to style, but is certainly has a good balance and complexity going on.
