Pours a slightly cloudy deep, dark golden coloration with a small, frothy head. Smells of sweet, bready, caramel malt and estery notes of apple skin and clove. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of sweet, bready, caramel malt and fruity/spicy estery yeast notes of apple skin, clove and pepper, as well as lighter notes of dark fruit: fig, dates and hay. Finishes with medium sweetness and some spicy notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and medium carbonation.

A rather nice tripel that's heavy on the yeast esters, complemented nicely by a good malt bill. A rich brew that never gets too sweet or boozy, although the mouthfeel could still be better.
