Pours a dark gold/pale amber coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smells of bready, grainy malt, with a light herbal note. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by mellow, dark, bready, grainy malt with hints of citrus, grass and a light herbal, almost spicy note as well. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and that herbal note lingering in the aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation.
Very nice Altbier with a distinct, but not too intense hoppy note. Not quite as good as most of the Düsseldorf Alts, but very drinkable indeed.
