Copenhagen 26/10 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Gymnasievej, Køge. Drawing of an Red Eye Hovering in a Triangle on a brown background on the label. Very seventies.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, heavy sweet but also with fairly strong amount of bitter coffee and chocolate. Brown sugar, molasses. Bitter coffee, dark chocolate. Presence of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, fat, smooth, soft, slightly sticky texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness but is neatly balanced with an almost equally strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet and sugary undercurrent. Lingering.
Well-balanced and powerful Imperial Stout.
