Copenhagen 17/11 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Gymnasievej, Køge. Dark blue label with drawing of a Sun peeking up over some Mountains.
Quite foamy upon opening making puddles everywhere. Pours murky, dark brown with a small off-white head. Disappears after a few seconds leaving a thin patch of foam sailing aimlessly about. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, laden with sugar and alcohol. Dark fermented fruits. Plums and Apricots. Honey sweetness and brown sugar. Dried sweet fruit like Raisins and Figs. Sweet alcohol like a liquor.
Medium carbonation. Medium thick, sticky soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Prominent alcoholic presence. Lingering.
Well made and powerful Barley Wine. Glad I got hold of one of the 444 bottles.
