12 oz. draught pour at Sam's Bottle Shop in Durham. Served in a snifter. It pours a hazy, dirty, tangerine-gold color with a half finger, creamy, milk-white cap and thick, soapy lacing. A rather sedate smell; mostly lemon, grapefruit, and subtle but noticeable Nelson hops. Its taste is dry with lemon peel, grapefruit, and white wine grape over a cracker malt base. The Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc hops dominate. I really don't notice the influence of the Mosaic Lupmax. This ale is quite lite for 8.4% ABV with appropriate carbonation. Overall, I like the way Funguys handled the Nelson and Hallertau Blanc hops. They're not overpowering. This is a good hot weather DIPA.
