Poured from 16 oz can into snulip glass. It pours a hazy, muddy tangerine color with a small, foamy, ecru-colored head and lacing. On the nose is lemon, grapefruit, peach, berry, and dank herbal notes. The strata influence is strong. It’s dank, musty, and quite bitter. The mouth feel is a bit thin. Overall, I’m not crazy about the combination of Sabro, Simcoe, and Strata. Some may really like it but I think it’s a bit of a misfire.

A: Pours a very hazy almost murky medium to dark golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + pale orange + bright yellow + apricot + peach + honey colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer adn a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/orange + tropical/passionfruit + herbal + dank resinous hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a light to moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/orange + tropical/passionfruit + herbal + dank resinous hops which impart a very light amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving moderate lingering citrus hop flavors.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish. Light amounts of alcohol warming.

O: Easy to drink with decently well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with a very interesting combination of hops that give big citrus + tropical + herbal + dank resinous hop flavors and aromas.
