On tap at brewery:
Another starkly clear beer by House 6, this on is a copper-leaning amber. A nice heads on this pour provides a fair amount of lacing from its wide mix of foam and larger bubble after settling.
Nose might indicate a sweeter lean than the German imports with some caramel, but it also hits on bread and spice. Taste confirms the residual sugar could be toned down a little, but it’s not as bad as many American attempts. Moderate carbonation doesn’t disrupt a smooth, malty feel too much.
Flavors of caramel, light toast, light spice, and some caramel malt hang on most the taste. A neutral to earthy spice bitterness balances things. In between there’s an aspect between sweetness, bread, and bitterness that does remind me of some of the imports from this year - a light mineral note that works in the beer’s favor to me.

Great Octoberfest beer...and drank it all the way through January! Can't wait until it comes back, as it was my growler fill up preference.
